Who hasn't lusted after a fictional character at least once in their lives? Twice? (This reader couldn't stop thinking about Sawyer on LOST, but I digress). Farraj is trapped in a drug smuggling/farming compound, looking for his friends who were captured, with militia and drug lords out to get him, as seen in last week's episode of Endangered. I won't give away the plot but Siler has information that only someone watching the show would know, and the rest is what fantasies are made of.
Dolan is a beautiful writer and her ability as a wordsmith is a lovely counterpoint to her gritty sex scenes. We know this author can write sex (check out Gigolo's Seduction), but this one serves up just enough excitement between Siler and Farraj to add to the compelling story.
The supernatural aspect of Siler meeting a fictional character was delivered well and was icing on the already yummy cake. I happen to love a little supernatural with my cake.
The Fangirl's Dream is a smart, sexy foray into every woman's fantasy. And who doesn't want a little bit of that thrown into everyday life? Highly recommended by this supernatural reader!

I'm going to skip my usual play-by-play of the characters and the plot since doing so would give the entire novella away.
I actually really enjoyed The Fangirl's Dream even though the length was less than 50 pages. We received enough detail to understand that Siler is a public defender; a job that doesn't allow time for dating. She seeks out the services of Madam Eve to make her dream of meeting her favorite tv star come true. The events that unfold take us to a different location altogether where we get to witness Siler's reality at meeting her hero - in the jungle - on the set of her favorite show. There are a couple of steamy sex scenes which, after all, was why Siler sought out Madame Eve's assistance. The ending isn't a happily ever after but the story is ended on a sweet note alluding to a potential HEA in Siler's future.
If you enjoy plot twists, alternate reality-type stories, and a little bit of steam, I would certainly suggest this 1 Night Stand (1NS) novella.

So I am a little confused by this one. In some ways I liked it and in others I didn't. Since this is such a short read I'm just going to jump right into what I liked & didn't like about this book since too much description of the characters & story can give away much of the book.
I'll start with the couple of things that weren't my favorite. First I want to point out that by the synopsis alone there was nothing I saw that would indicate this is an alternate reality type of book. I usually shy away from those (they just aren't my thing). So if I would have know I can honestly say I probably wouldn't have read this book. Second was the ending. I felt like the author just left us kind of hanging. In no way is it a cliff hanger book but I felt like shaking my head with a great big "HUH".
Even though there were those couple of things that I could do with out the meat of the story was actually pretty good. The author did a good job with the interaction between the characters and the sex scenes were smokin'. All in all it was an ok read for a short story.

This was a very short (35 pages) story. Nice and quick for an evening or afternoon break as it is easy to read in one sitting.
It starts off a bit confusing, honestly, but we soon figure out that Silar has been dropped off onto the set of the tv show to have her way (hopefully) with Farraj. The problem, Farrag says it is all real. Not a tv show. Not she has to help Farraj escape, save the others of the show and have her one night!
That is pretty much the story in a nutshell. Being so short I really cannot say too much without giving it away. I really feel this should have been longer. So much is left out at the end leaving the reading to wonder. Sometimes that can be good but this left too many questions for my tastes, therefore making it nearly impossible to come to any conclusion on how I felt toward the story.
What is a girl to do when she is head over heels in love with a character from a TV show? Only one thing you can do, contact Madame Eve and her 1Night Stand dating service to see what she can do .....
I love the 1NS stories and am always excited to read them. This one is slightly different as only Siler has written in to Madame Eve, but then Farraj can't as he is fictional!! Siler is a huge fan of a TV show called Endangered and is captivated by the character of Farraj. I wasn't sure how this was supposed to go as she wanted a date with a fictional character and when I first realised she was IN the show I was a bit incredulous, especially as she kept telling him what was going on with all the other characters and basically giving him spoilers. But, when the date was over, I thought the way the ending was written was actually very good. It could have very easily gone wrong but it really didn't. It isn't my favourite 1NS story but is still worth a read, especially if you love TV ;-)
