This book comes at you from the right angle. The author shows you that having too much clutter is more about where you are in life emotionally, rather than concentrating on just the physical objects in your home. I love the fact that he starts with ways to transform your life and how to surround yourself with positive energy. It's amazing how you feel when you've cleaned out your home. Taking out the physical clutter and the mental clutter leaves you with such a light and airy feeling. This book, in fact, isn't about how to organize or slim down your decor, but rather a well thought out psychology book on attachment and letting go of what is essentially dead weight in your life.Product details

Quiet an amazing book. Once you open it you can't put it down. It really gives a lot of helpful tools and tips to live the minimalist lifestyle, and really explains clearly some of the benefits. I would recommend this book to anyone that is looking to feel better, to be more fulfilled in life, to improve their day-to-day. It's amazing how little things can bring so much improvement. truly a wonderful book, thank you so much!
I have been on the path to minimalism since I saw it on a travels blog on youtube, and thought man, I don't need all this stuff either but how do I go about it exactly? Then I came across this book. It was perfect and extremely detailed. It goes very in depth into understand why you should or could be a minimalist and if it's really the right thing for you to do. I enjoyed learning what being minimalist really means and how I can officially go about it! I will be getting started and taking all the tips and tricks to heart!
Minimalism by George Pain
Setting out reading this book as a hoarder by nature with little hope of recovery any guidance on how to discard belongings that are no longer necessary would be helpful. It was surprising to learn that this book was more invigorating than just throwing unwanted items away it was about financial and mental decluttering also. Enthusiastically embracing many of the theories of this book will give way to time, money and space to enjoy life, hobbies and friends.

After reading this book I have highlighted 14 key points and phrases to remember! I feel that is a testimony to the fact that it had some useful and motivating information on the subject even though there is a flood of information out there about "minimalist living". Thumbs up.
This book is a relatively quick and easy read but is full of practical application. I don't want to give away the entire book, but I will say that a lot of content about minimalism is focused on the amount of "stuff" we have. I appreciate that George Pain also acknowledges other things that need decluttered such as negative thoughts and emotions, focusing on the past, habits that are taking up precious time in our lives, and so on. This is an area of minimalism that isn't always mentioned as much. While there are no particular references throughout this book, I couldn't help but notice that there are so many Bible principles that tie into this lifestyle and even the suggestions of letting go of things that happened in the past, not carrying grudges, and so on. That is timeless wisdom that applies to anyone whether seeking to clarify their life through a "minimalist" lifestyle or not. I really enjoyed this read.
PS. I also like the cover ;)

I have highlighted a lot of points and phrases to remember on my journey to minimalism. This book has lots of useful, practical and motivational information on the subject that is easy to understand and apply in our lives.
A quick and easy read but immensely impactful. The author gives information on not only reducing physical clutter but also mental and emotional clutter which we often ignore in life.
A book I would recommend everyone should read.
